Lesson Plan Builder

Fill it in, attach the calculators you will use, and print it or save it as a PDF. Your work saves in this browser as you type — there is no account and nothing is sent to a server.

The printed page is laid out as a document, not as a screenshot of this form, so long paragraphs come out in full.

Four answers and the builder can draft the whole plan for you to edit.

Ages ~13–18. Longer development, written work, exam technique.

For example:

Or start from a calculator

A complete lesson built around one tool, written for the classroom rather than assembled from phrases. Choosing one replaces what the builder wrote and keeps anything you typed yourself.

How would you like to fill it in?

This writes a starting draft from standard phrasing for your level and subject — it is a form letter, not a lesson. It knows nothing about your class. Read every line, change what does not fit, and use ↻ on any box for different wording.

Anything you have typed yourself is kept. Drafting again, or choosing a different lesson below, only replaces the wording the builder put there.

A widely used international structure. A good default if your school has no fixed format.

Switching format keeps everything you have typed, including text the new format does not show — switch back and it returns.

The lesson

Intent

What a student will be able to DO by the end. One per line, starting with a verb.

What this lesson stands on. Worth writing down: it is usually where a lesson actually fails.

Lesson sequence

Add minutes to check the timing

How the lesson opens. Something to do, not something to listen to.

The body of the lesson. What students are doing, not only what you are saying.

How you find out whether it worked, while you can still do something about it.

Support, assessment and resources

Support for those who need it, and genuine extension — not just more of the same questions.

How you will know, during the lesson, whether the objectives were met.

Everything you need in the room.

What is set, and when it is due.

Filled in after teaching it. Left blank on the printout on purpose — it is for your pen.

Print, save or share

Add a title or an objective and these become available.

In the print dialog choose Save as PDF as the destination. The link carries the whole plan in the address, so it works on another device without an account.

Saved only in this browser. Clearing site data or using a different device starts a blank plan — copy the link to move one across.
